Research Projects

Our group is located at Innsbruck, being part of the Medical University, Children´s Hospital, Department of Neonatology.

The work of our team is dedicated to reduce perinatal brain damage and thus to reduce the neurological sequelae in later life.

Doctoral/Diploma thesis in neonatal neurology

The neonatal neuroscience group offers to medical students to join our team and perform a doctoral/diploma thesis in our research which is dedicated to reduce perinatal brain damage.

MFF Tirol funds research on secretoneurin in perinatal brain injury

Anna Posod, member of the Neonatal Neuroscience Research Group Innsbruck, has received an MFF grant for her new research project "Evaluation of secretoneurin as a neuroprotective strategy in perinatal brain injury".

The Tiroler Wissenschaftsfonds supports sigma receptor research.
The Neonatal Neuroscience Research Group has recently received a positive funding decision of the Tiroler Wissenschaftsfonds (TWF) on the project "Evaluation of dehydroepiandrosterone and its sulfate ester as a therapeutic strategy in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury" (applicant: Anna Posod).
